Instead of skiing in Deer Valley we decided to to ski Jackson Hole this year. It's in Wyoming. I don't think any of us have set foot in the state before so it was a new trip for all of us. The airport is small so we took stairs off the plane and walked along the tarmac. The mountains here are called the Grand Tetons which in French means the Giant Boobs. No kidding. They were really pretty and it was a nice sunny day out when we arrived.
When we first got there, there was some parasailers coming down off the ski mountain. It looked fun but it was also quite pricey.
We all wanted to try some game meat so we headed to a game restaurant the first night. We had elk and steaks and venison. Lots of stuffed animals on the walls.
The elk didn't like that and started terrorizing you the whole trip.
The weather was quite good. But the snow was a little hard and sketchy the first day. It was still pretty though and nice to get some more runs in for the year.
Oh yea. Did I forget to mention your nephew James flew in to stay with us too. He's from Minnesota recall so that's why he isn't encased in 15 layers of ski clothes like us.
There was a huge gondola there. Or I guess they called it a tram. It went up to the top of the mountain.
We took one day off from skiing and went to an elk reserve. They're pretty chill and didn't run away as we got near. A couple of them below were fighting but it was a half hearted attempt at fighting really.
They had interesting winter wear there. We didn't pick any up though.
Last but not least the highlight of the trip was this failed attempt by you at a world record for the longest jump. Close but no cigar. Luckily you weren't hurt.
