Apple Picking

This Sunday we drove out to see Gordon and Mari in Princeton and went apple picking. We've never done that before and it was a little different than we expected. First, the apple trees are tiny. Which makes sense because otherwise how would kids pick the apples. It wouldn't work if we were all carrying around ladders. Second, while it was dry in Brooklyn, Princeton had a lot of rain so the ground was mud. And we didn't really dress appropriately. But no one fell or got too muddy.

The apples were delicious which just reinforces my opinion that all fruit in supermarkets is awful and that I'm only going to bother with fruit if I can get it from the source. You are like me and don't really like fruit but you too liked the apples. Afterwards we headed home and had a lovely dinner and tried to get the mud off of everything.
