"Daddy We Need To Go"

Yesterday we thought we were going to have a fun time at your school's picnic party in Brooklyn Bridge Park. When we got there Caden was in seventh heaven running around in the grass with his friends. But you were a little reserved. After a few minutes you complained of not feeling well. And then at one point I realized you really weren't feeling well.

The next thing I know you say, "Daddy We Neet To Go!!". You had suddenly come down with a very bad case of diarrhea. And it became clear very quickly that you weren't going to make it home. We found a sign for public restrooms but we couldn't figure out where they were. At that point we had to think fast and I had you jump into some bushes that gave you some measure of privacy. You were upset like I've never seen you upset before. Terribly embarrassed and crying uncontrollably.

Luckily it was over quickly and no one from school saw anything. After you realized you hadn't made a big mess and no one saw you finally calmed down. Very traumatic. But a good skill to have learned.
