- You don't like to be judged
- You don't like being in front of large groups of people
- You don't like doing new things.
Unfortunately life is all about all of those three things. The first signs of trouble were when we dropped you off to go with your team and you all of a sudden panicked that mommy and I were leaving you. The second sign was when you had to line up with the team in front of the stands. You had a big pout on your face and eventually started crying. One of your coaches Victoria took you away and settled you down. Then you moved onto the vault to do some practice runs. After that you were largely okay and focused on what you were doing. After the meet was over you again became somewhat distraught. I think you were displeased with your performance and the awards ceremony was again a new thing for you to do.
Your performance in the meet wasn't good. In these situations your adrenalin is running high and it's tough to control your body when you are not used to it. Your best events are the vault and the beam. The vault went okay but the beam had a few too many slip ups.
However both mommy and I were extremely proud of you. First because went through with the event even though you really didn't want to do it. And second because when you fell off the beam you didn't whine or cry and get upset. You just climbed back up and finished your routine like a champ.
Here's some video of the event. I'm sure you and I will review it for mistakes and ways to improve.
