Christmas

This was a bit of a bittersweet Christmas for you. While you got some nice presents from Santa you got awfully sick around noon. So bad mommy had to take you to the hospital. We all woke up early and I started making breafast. You and Caden eventually popped out just as Myra stopped in to say hi. You received some nice toys. You got a Nintendo DS, some movies, a few games, and some arts & crafts stuff. After everything was opened we had breakfast and you and Caden settled into the couch to watch Up.

I started getting dinner prepped and came by to see how you were doing since you had been quiet for a while. You were incredibly hot to the touch and you had white foam coming out of your mouth. I got very scared. You were a little delirious and very very tired. I threw you into the bath to cool you down a little bit. Mommy took your temperature and it was 104.4 degrees. Very very hot. She decided to take you up to the hospital just to be safe. Maybe she can add some more details on your visit there.

The worst thing was that I promised you, you would not get any shots because you really didn't want to go and get a shot. Turns out you had strep throat and you did need to get a shot. I'll make that up to you. You and mommy eventually made it back and you basically went right into bed and fell asleep. We tried to see if you wanted to get up to eat but you just wanted to sleep. You eventually slept from something like 5pm to 9am the next morning. Fortunately you felt a lot better the next day.
