Intrepid Museum

Today is Caden's Birthday and mommy came up with the good idea of going to see the Intrepid Museum in New York. It's an aircraft carrier that has a museum with lots of planes.

It's one big boat!

First we went up to the top deck to check out all the planes.

Caden was in heaven.

Most of the planes were fighter planes.

Here's a Blackbird bomber.

And another view.

And they had a Blue Angels plane too. I was hoping they might have a flyover while we were there but no luck.

It was hard to hold Caden. He wanted to run around the whole time.

More planes. Looks like you are getting bored.

You both got a floatie aircraft carrier for the tub. Maybe we'll try it out tonight.

And you both got to sit in the captains chair. The one where the head of the ship sits.

I think this is just how the captain poses for photos too.

Caden loved all the dials and buttons.

Don't press that one!

Because we were so high we had a nice view of the city too.

Down below deck they had some more planes stored.

And outside on the pier was an old Concord plane.

Here's the cockpit.

Next we moved over to a real ship that was in service. Photo op #1.

Photo op #2.

You shot down a couple of baddies too. Careful.

Here's the captain's chair in the new ship. It was much more modern and comfy.
