Drama Queen

Over the last few weeks, I have been dropping you off at school in the mornings when I am not traveling. Most days we have lots of fun walking and talking about your classmates, chasing birds, and having mini-races (you run while I walk as fast as I can).

However, this morning was not so much fun for me. You got upset when I told you not to pick up sticks or other dirty things on the ground. When we got to school, I forced you to wash your hands since they were dirty, and you pouted in the bathroom. Next came the tears when I told you "No pennies for the Penny Harvest."

When we walked into the Yellow Room, your teacher Suzanne noticed you were upset and gave you a big hug while you dropped the pennies in the tin can. You immediately changed your attitude and life was good again. Big sigh. Not sure why some days you get up on the wrong side of the bed. . . . maybe this time you miss Daddy since he has been away for a few days. Daddy is in San Francisco for a conference and then he is going to Seattle to check on our condo since our renters moved out.

When I got home, both Caden and you were in good spirits. You snacked on cheese puffs while I warmed up some yummy chicken soup and prepared your lunches for tomorrow. After eating, you watched Dora Saves the Snow Princess while doing your favorite Princess puzzle.

Caden loves to watch Dora now too.

Hugs and kisses to Daddy!
