Today we went on a tourist expedition around New York. After an early breakfast we headed up to 42nd near Times Square to jump on a double decker bus that drove us around the city. Luckily it was a beautiful day in New York.
You can see how high up we are as we pass by another double decker bus.
First we passed by Olivia's building. Actually it is the Empire State Building but a pig, Olivia, in one of your books builds a sandcastle in the shape of it so we call it Olivia's Building when we see it on the Brooklyn Bridge.
A shot of one of the very long avenues.
The Flat Iron Building. It looks like an iron.
Passing down Bleecker Street.
A shot of the bus' upper level.
As we came back up we passed by the United Nations Building which I think is very pretty.
Then we hopped into a cab over to the west side near 49th Street to hop on a boat tour. The tour went down the Hudson River.
You can see what a beautiful day it was. Lots of sail boats out in the water.
Ellis Island. This is where immigrants used to enter the United States. Although both your grandparents are immigrants Ellis Island was no longer in use when they came here.
And of course the Statue of Liberty or the Green Lady as you like to call her. It was quite impressive.
On the way back we watched the sailboats.
And by that time everyone was tired. I had to carry you the whole way home you were so sleepy.
