Daddy, Where are you?

This weekend, it was Daddy's turn to travel. For his 40th birthday, I planned a guys' weekend in Seattle. Unfortunately there were major thunderstorms last night so Daddy's flight was delayed 5 hours. Bad travel karma for Daddy, but he eventually arrived in Seattle around midnight and still managed to go out to a bar for some late-night cocktails.

While he is away, we had a busy day. We started the morning with a run across the Brooklyn Bridge. I bought a new double jogging stroller - check it out!

Now Caden and you don't have to fight over who will go running with Mommy.

After our run, we picked up some bagels and coffee for our breakfast playdate with Jenny, Alden and baby Jalen. Caden and you loved eating bagels with cream cheese - I think you enjoyed the smoked salmon even more since you two ate the entire package! Alden and you also enjoyed juice boxes - a special treat when we have guests.

You alsso wanted to be a bride this morning - only problem is you said you wanted to marry Gordon, so Alden was a bit heart-broken.

Cute photo of Alden and Jalen who is now 4 weeks old - he was a big baby at 10 pounds at delivery. WOW - he is going to be a really big boy someday!

After Caden's nap, we went to the library to check out some books. Caden loved pulling books out of the stacks while you flipped through magazines with Ariel and Dora. On the way home, we stopped at the big green park so that Caden and you could run around.

You befriended another Asian girl and played soccer with her - you love your new hot pink ball.

I also brought the rocket balloon pump and you chased the balloons down.

After the park, it was baths, dinner and DVDs at home. Daddy just called while we were reading books in bed. He had a fun day walking around Seattle and doing all of the things we loved to do when we used to live there. He is going to have a fun night out with the guys at Palace Kitchen - I have a feeling things are going to get ugly so I hope Som, Ryan, or one of the other guys will send some photos.
