As soon as I got back from my trip to Seattle and San Francisco, Mommy went to Los Angeles. So it was just you and me. On Saturday we didn't do much. We went out early to do some grocery shopping for the week and then came home. You had a bit of a tummy ache all day and went up for much other than playing around the house. On Sunday we got up early again and headed out for some fun since you were feeling better.
The first stop was a diner near where I work.
As you can see we ordered a lot of bacon!
Then we had to pop into my work to charge my phone (which can barely hold a charge for one day) before setting off to...
Central Park!
On the way you enjoyed window shopping. You saw some jewelry you liked and you loved some ivory carvings you spotted.
We also passed by a haunted house themed place. "Scary" you said.
We were making our way to this place though. An amusement park!
Most of the rides were pretty tame so I wasn't worried about you. But the first ride we went on was a fast one. And you went high too. But you didn't seem to mind at all.
We also went on a boat ride.
Your first rollercoaster.
And a hot air balloon ride.
Here's a video of some of your rides. You were very good about going on the rides on your own. This allowed you to go on more rides since I didn't have to use them. I'm also trying a new video service (Vimeo) because I think it is higher quality.
After that we did some mountain climbing in the park. You made the summit.
Here's a nice view of the amusement park below.
Then we were going to go to the small zoo in Central Park but daddy had run out of money. So we headed over to FAO Schwartz to look at the toys. Here's the plaza out front. I hope you are eyeing the fountain and not Bergdorf Goodman.
FAO had dinosaur stuffed animals this time. Big ones.
After getting some money we headed back to the zoo. We got to see the usual animals: sea lions, penguins, monkeys, pandas, and the ever lethargic polar bear.
There were some beautiful flowers in bloom all over the zoo.
And then you and I were both tired. It was time to head home.
You skinned your knee badly while chasing birds around the park. So when we finally made it to the subway you laid down on me and watched Monsters Inc. on the phone.

Wow - it looks like you two had lots of fun today!
Caden and I are having fun in LA too. Tonight we went to a housewarming party at Andy & Esther's new house in Cypress. Caden enjoyed being the center of attention, but everyone was asking, "Where is Sophia?" They look forward to seeing you in LA next month at Grandpa's birthday party.
Good night!
