On Saturday we went to see Murakami at the Brooklyn Museum. Mommy and daddy and you have seen his work before but you are too young to remember. I believe he works somewhere in Dumbo. He likes to take cartoon images and skew them a little into unusual sculptures and paintings.
We got there a little early so we had some time to kill out front. Luckily the front of the museum is pretty fun.
Everyone even got a little hungry so we snacked in the shade of some trees.
Because they don't let you use a camera inside we don't have many pictures. But I took some of this sculpture in the lobby and no one seemed to mind. You can see the cartoonish nature of the work but it's a little creepy too with funny frog legs at the bottom.
