Mini Vacation in Connecticut with the Owens

This weekend we went up to see the Owens family - Lisa, Steve-O, Connor, and Luke - in Connecticut. They had rented a house up there for the summer and invited us to come up. Mainly we relaxed and waded in the pool.

It was broiling hot that weekend so the pool was a big asset. But we had to make sure everyone was well covered in high SPF lotion. No burns!

All of you got along well. No major problems. I'm not sure what's going on here. It looks like a jail break!

Connor has a bit of a lazy eye so for part of the day he has to wear an eye patch to force him to use the weak right eye.

Daddy tried to take it easy to but was rounded up for most of the cooking.

Outside we found tiny mushrooms everywhere. And clover with pink flowers just like in Bambi. And lots of bugs. Holy cow Connecticut has some serious bug issues. Luckily they weren't the biting type.

Lisa bought some bubble toys. Normally we have a hell of a time blowing bubbles. But these ones were made of a long oblong hole instead of the usual round hole and boy were they good. Look how big this bubble is!

And if it wasn't relaxing enough, Lisa got a babysitter for us - Audrey - who was very nice and took care of you kids while the adults relaxed some more.
