Sushi

This Sunday we went for sushi in Soho. A restaurant called Blue Ribbon Sushi. It's supposed to be very good. We started with some nice appetizers. A hijiki salad, some grilled salmon with a teriyaki-like sauce and some mackeral & cucumber salad. They were all very yummy.

Then we got a little less adventurous and ordered the sushi & sashimi platter you see here as well as a couple of uni gunkan maki (the slimey orange one at the bottom). The platter was so so. But you loved the ikura gunkan maki. The one with the orange round balls.

I had to help you get them out. You preferred to eat them one at a time.

Caden has his usual pureed food unfortunately. No sushi yet for him.

After that we ordered two more because you were still hungry. Yummy. To finish we got some green tea ice cream. All in all it was pretty good but I still think Jewel Bako is our favorite sushi place. That was where you first had sushi.

After that we walked around Soho. Mommy wanted to buy some shampoo and I wanted to check out a store. On the way back we passed by a big mural with pictures of ladies in bikinis. You wanted me to take a picture of you in front of each one. Pretty funny.
