Yankee Fair

Today we went to the Yankee Fair at Plymouth Church. Daddy had a friend (Ryan) who was visiting from San Francisco so it was just Caden, you and me for the afternoon. I put Caden in the Baby Bjorn and he fell asleep right away. On the way over to Plymouth Church, you wanted to say hello to the Blue Pig. First stop at the Yankee Fair was the pony ride - you were so excited to ride a real pony. It's an upgrade to the carousel! After the pony ride, you fed the farm animals - there was a funny goat who had tennis balls on his horns to protect the children. We walked around inside the gym where they set up shopping areas - Country Kitchen, antiques, used clothes, used books, used toys and an arts & crafts station for kids. I volunteered in the Country Kitchen in the morning so I found a few bargains. We also bought some raffles tickets - hope we win something!

We went back outside so that you could take another pony ride - this time you picked the large brown horse. It reminded you of your rocking horse at home named Brownie. So brave, Sophia! Maybe next weekend we'll drive up to the Hudson Valley to visit my friend Lisa and go on more pony rides with her kids. On our way out, we bought a small bag of popcorn. As we were crossing the street (you were holding my hand), you tripped and the bag of popcorn ripped. . .and all of the popcorn flew away. You were so upset that you started to cry. I was trying to rush because we were in the middle of the street. Once we reached the other side, you wouldn't stop crying and kept asking for the popcorn. Poor Sophia! I will ask Daddy to make us some more popcorn tonight.
