Penelope's Birthday

This afternoon we celebrated Penelope's third birthday at MiniMaster in Tribeca. What a treat! You go to school with Penelope on Wednesdays and Fridays; Penelope also lives in Dumbo and comes to our house for playdates on Monday afternoons since neither of you has a class on Mondays. I also finally met Penelope's parents, Andrea and Barnaby, who have lived in Dumbo for 16 years! Unfortunately they are moving to Cobble Hill in the new year.

MiniMaster is a special gym for toddlers - you loved playing in the ball pit. Penelope and you would take turns jumping into the ball pit and then burying yourself under all of the plastics balls. At one point, the instructors pulled out a large parachute and all of the kids sat in the middle. We sang some train song and dragged you all in a circle. You hung upside-down on the gym bar - oh no - head rush! You also had fun jumping off a 3-foot high block. Luckily everything in the playroom is padded so you don't bang your head if you fall down. After an hour in the playroom, we had pizza and juice boxes followed by cupcakes! Yummy! Of course, you just licked all of the frosting off. After cupcakes, it was time for more fun in the ball pit. What a fun birthday party!
