Halloween at Chelsea Market

It was a wet and windy weekend so we dressed you up in boots and a coat to keep you dry. I wanted to go try a new restaurant in Chelsea Market so we drove over the Meatpacking District to try it out.

They had decorated the entire market up for Halloween. You were a little unsure what to make of it. Scared? Excited?

We first stopped off at 9th Street Espresso which has the best coffee I have ever tasted in my life. You were a little bored.

Then we headed to the restaurant, Milk Bar. It's owned by an actual milk company. It's a pretty cool restaurant too. It has old wooden milk cartons for walls.

We saddled up to the bar and ordered, what else, some milk.

The service was a little slow.

But then a whole bunch of other families came in and you had fun playing on the blackboard with chalk and playing with the other kids.

You liked the milk. It reminded me of when I lived in England and the milk man would deliver milk. There was always a thick cream on top that you had to poke through to get to the milk. You can see a white rim of cream around the top of the bottle.

the food was pretty good. Just a basic breakfast place. After that we walked around the various merchant stores. Your favorite is the bakery that makes Sesame Street cupcakes (we had one a few weeks ago).

And of course they had a pumpkin display. Look at your cute outfit.
