This weekend we went to Gordon's birthday party in Princeton, NJ. You were very excited when you received the invitation via mail a few weeks back because you rarely get mail. Caden got dressed up as a pumpkin since it is almost Halloween.
Gordon has a nice jungle gym set in the back yard. I had a lot of trouble keeping all three of you going at one time.
For the festivities you decorated a pumpkin. You are still a little too young to actually carve a pumpkin.
Here's your finished product.
Caden had a lot of fun watching everyone play.
And Daddy took some time off to relax too.
We got to witness an actual carving though. An Australian lady wanted to carve a pumpkin so we sacrificed one.
And of course there was a cake!
And then you and Gordon started getting all flirty. Not sure what that is all about.
Then we went into Princeton to walk around. There is a famous cemetery there with lots of famous dead people.
There were only two people I really cared about. John von Neumann, a mathematician and one of the founders of the modern computer and Kurt Godel who is both a very interesting person and an amazing mathematician. I'm sure I'll give you a lecture on both when you are older.
We went to the public library as well which was quite nice. They had an art exhibit there based on lots of tiny painted canvases. I saw this guys work 15 years ago in San Francisco. Apparently every day he went to work he took one small canvas and made a new work of art. There were hundreds of them.
