Birthday Parties

Today we celebrated Julian's second birthday - his parents, Elliot and Carole, invited us to watch a children's play called "Goodnight Moon" which was adapted from the book. It was cute. . . but a little long in my opinion. After the show, the cast sang Happy Birthday to Julian.
The cast also waited in the lobby to say goodbye to everyone - you liked the bunny.
We also celebrated Lola's third birthday this month - her parents, Erica and Paul, threw a party in the Brooklyn Bridge Park. You were most interested in checking out Lola's birthday cake which looked like a castle.
Before we ate cake, a birthday clown performed some magic tricks for the kids. You kept called the clown a duck - maybe because she was wearing big yellow and red shoes?
Finally, you ate some cake. Yummy!
The clown also did face-painting - you got a green star to match your cute dress. I was amazed at how still you sat for the clown to paint your face - I have a feeling you are going to love putting on your own makeup in a few years.
