South Street Seaport

On most Saturday mornings, we have a slow start but today we were out the door before 10AM. We ate breakfast at Kitchenette in Tribeca - you ate lots of bacon and few bits of pancakes. After breakfast, we drove to Lower Manhattan because Daddy wanted to go to The Strand bookstore. Luckily, we found a street parking spot right around the corner from The Strand. After browsing in the bookstore and picking out a few new books, we walked a few blocks to the South Street Seaport.

The Seaport is very touristy - it felt like we were walking around an outdoor suburban mall. The sidewalks were packed with tourists of all shapes and sizes. At Pier 17 next to the old Fulton Fish Market, there were a few tall ships parked in the docks. While I fed Caden inside, Daddy and you roamed around the building. After feeding Caden, we went shopping at The Gap and Baby Gap and then drove home in time to go to Maya's birthday party. Maya lives down the hall in our apartment building, and you play with her often since her nanny Connie is also a filipina.

I forgot to mention that last photo to mommy. It was a video projected down on the ground and there were sensors in the ceiling which detected where you were. In this case the fish would swim away from you. It kept changing. One of them was a soccer game where you could kick around a ball. Pretty cool
