So Many Christmas Presents

Today is Christmas - when we woke up, we were surprised at how many Christmas presents Santa Claus delivered for you last night. You woke up around 8AM, and I put you in a cute red velvet dress. Then we walked to the living room to find all of the presents. The first one you picked was a purple piggy bank - you giggled as you tried to open the box.

Next you picked the biggest present - what's inside? It took a while for you to rip open the wrapping paper especially since you were being so careful. You kept saying 'Broken, Broken!' and we kept saying 'That's okay - tear it open!'

I helped you open the great big box - it was a new rocking horse! You were so excited and started to pet the toy horse's mane and tail. We had to stop opening gifts so that Daddy could put assemble the rocking horse - giddey-up! Next we opened up a few gifts from Hal-mo-ni and Hal-ah-bo-ji. They bought you new DVDs (Dora the World Explorer and Finding Nemo) and some puzzles that make sounds. You loved them! Then you opened a few more gifts from Grandma June and Grandpa Gordon - more puzzles, books and DVDs! These should keep you busy for the next few weeks (at least until your birthday)!Daddy asked if you wanted to open more presents and you said 'No!' Someday you'll be surprised by your answer. There were still lots of presents left under the tree from your cousins Jonathan and James, Aunt Caroline and Uncle Larry. They were so thoughtful and bought you lots of toys including your own computer. Now you can play games on your own toy laptop!A new cell phone that records voices. . . .A microphone that also records voices - you had fun singing 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' into the mike. . . .

You also opened up a floating xylophone for the bathtub, finger paints, crayons, and many other presents. WOW - you must have been a very good girl to receive so many presents from Santa Claus. After opening up all of presents, we had some cereal for breakfast. Yummy!

After you finished your cereal, you jumped onto the rocking horse - Giddey-up, horsey! We named your horse Strawberry like the horse in the Elmo Wild Wild West DVD.

While you played with your new toys, Daddy was a couch potato and played Xbox for a few hours. Don't worry - Daddy is saving the world by shooting down bad terrorists! In a week or two, his accuracy will be even better when we receive our new 50 inch HDTV. Very exciting!

Next we finger painted using some of the cardboard boxes to protect the floor - I also took off your red dress and put on a smock to keep the paints off of your clothes. At first, you only dipped your index finger into the paint very carefully. By the end, you had your whole right hand in the paints and even got some on your feet.

Check out your first finger-painting masterpieces!

After lunch, we called Hal-mo-ni and Hal-ah-bo-ji to say Merry Christmas and to say thanks for their gifts. We also called Uncle Chester, Auntie, and your cousins Sara and Scott to wish them a Merry Christmas. Tomorrow we'll call Grandma June and Grandpa Gordon since they'll be back in Arizona after a few days in San Diego.

Now you are taking a nap and Daddy is still saving the world from bad terrorists in Vegas. What a nice Christmas we're having at home!
