Say Goodbye to 2006

Today is Sunday, December 31, 2006 - the last day of the year. Daddy and I don't really care for this holiday, so it was just another Sunday for us. We did some errands in the morning; we packed up the Christmas ornaments, took down the Christmas tree, and dropped off some boxes to storage. Afterwards, we went out to brunch along 5th Avenue in Brooklyn. We found a cute spot called Stone Park Cafe - it was very yummy! You ate lots of scrambled eggs - what an appetite you have these days. After brunch, you ran around the park and, of course, ended up on the swings. Whee!

After we pulled you off of the swings, we walked along 5th Avenue to check out some of the shops. After 40 minutes or so, I was frozen to the bone so we had to walk back to the car. Luckily it was also your nap time so you fell asleep while we drove back home.

When we got home, Daddy carefully took you out of the carseat and put you down in your crib. I curled up in a blanket in front of the TV to finish watching a movie but fell asleep shortly after. What a lazy Sunday.

We had planned to go out to an early dinner but no one was motivated so we just stayed at home. In the evening, Daddy started to complain of a raging headache so he took two Tylenol and went to bed after we put you down at 8:45PM. I watched the rest of a movie and then watched some New Year's celebrations on the local news before going to bed.

Happy New Year!
