Christmas Eve

Today is the night before Christmas - we decided to stay in NY for the holidays. It was a lazy weekend for all of us - we did not have to travel anywhere and we made no plans. I tried to take you to swim class at the YMCA on both Saturday and Sunday morning, but you did not want to go. No worries - I was not going to force you to do anything this weekend.

While we went out to Target in the afternoon, Daddy started cooking our Christmas Dinner.
We were just spectators in the kitchen - no touching allowed for us!Check out this beautiful rib roast that Daddy made for us! Daddy also made mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and yorkshire pudding (popovers) . What a special treat - everything was so yummy! You enjoyed eating the popover with lots of butter. You ate lots of roast beef and mashed potatoes too. Thank you, Daddy! In my family, after dinner, we opened one present on Christmas Eve so you opened up a new DVD - another Elmo video on the Great Outdoors. Then Daddy and you were couch potatoes while Mommy cleaned up the kitchen. Yesterday I went to BuyBuyBaby to pick up a new potty since we are planning to potty-train you in January. For now, you like to carry your potty around like a new chair and you also like to wear it on your head! That's okay for now since it is brand new, but that will be gross after you start using the potty.Daddy and you also had fun playing with some tangerines as if they were juggling balls. You couldn't stop laughing whenever Daddy tossed the oranges into the air!

Daddy and I also exchanged gifts after we put you to bed. Daddy bought me a spa gift certificate to Georgette Klinger (perfect gift for Mommy). I gave Daddy two new Xbox 360 games (yes, perfect gifts for Daddy too) and some hand soap that he liked when we visited Princeton (EO Lemon & Eucalyptus). Daddy taught me how to play Rainbow6Vegas - I am so terrible at using the Xbox controllers. I need to practice and improve a lot so that I don't embarrass myself when we start having mini-tournaments with the ad sales team in the office.

While we were sleeping, Santa delivered all of the presents under the tree - you must have been a good girl this year.
