Playdate

Today I came home from work early so that we could host a playdate for some of your friends - Kai, Alden, and Maya. We invited a few other kids, but they couldn't join us. First to arrive was Maya who lives down the hallway - she was fascinated by your ball-blowing toy.

Kai showed up next with Marijo, his nanny. I bought a few snacks like veggies crisps, tortilla chips and goldfish. You shared some snacks with Kai and Marijo.
A few minutes later, Alden and his new nanny Pinky plus his mom Jenny arrived.
Kai's mom Randy also stopped by; Jenny and Randy are sisters and they own the local kid's store called Half-Pint where your music class is held. Randy loves playing with you especially since you always give her a hug and kiss.
Maya's dad, Joel, also joined us for the playdate. You scooted yourself into Joel's lap and he read one of your favorite Babar books. Luckily, Maya was not jealous and was willing to share her Daddy's lap with you.
All of the nannies are from the Philippines, and they enjoyed chatting with each other while the kids played. Now we're going to try to meet regularly on Thursday afternoons, and we'll invite some of your other playmates like Simon, Rory and Lola.
