When we got off the plane we headed to Stanford University where I went to graduate school. Here we are on the campus attempting to find where on earth my advisor, Eric Shaqfeh, had moved to. We never found him unfortunately.

Supposedly he was in this building but he wasn't listed on the directory so we eventually gave up. It was fun seeing where I went to school when I was much younger though. Perhaps you'll got to graduate school here or maybe across the bay where mommy went at Berkeley University.

After that we went to In N' Out Burger since they don't have them in New York and mommy and I love their burgers. And then we headed over to the Sood's who were neighbors in our building in Seattle. Mommy knows them from when she worked at Lehman Brothers. She used to work in New York at that company before we met. Here's Samir and his two boys - Dhruv & Shiv.

You were excited because their apartment complex has a pool. We got you all changed and headed out to the pool.

Shiv was excited too but I guess he didn't want the arm bouys.

You had fun doing 'splishy splashy'

Here we are afterwards. I guess you have some water in your ear.

Here we are drying everyone off. You can see Samir's dad too. He looks just like an older version of Samir. They are moving back to India where they are originally from.

Back inside you were exhausted so you decided to relax a little.

After that we headed into the city (San Francisco) and went to bed at Hotel Diva. In the morning we headed out to Union Square which was nearby. Here's a trolley car which San Fran is famous for.

Here's Union Square. You had fun saying 'Hi' to everyone and chasing the birds.

Next we drove to Chrissy Fields which is near the Golden Gate Bridge - another famous landmark in San Fran.

We walked out onto one of the piers. There were people fishing there.

One guy was catching crabs. You were both fascinated and scared of them.

Then we were hungry so we went to Ton Kiang - our favorite dim sum place. You were tired and slept through most of the meal.

You did wake up though with a big appetite.

The restaurant serves dim sum which is a brunch event. They bring out lots of little dishes to eat. Here is our favorite item at this restaurant. It's kind of like Japanese mochi dough filled with custard and dry fried.

We then went to see mommy's friend Stephanie and her son Jake.

Here's Jake. We went for a walk around their neighborhood, Laurel Heights, which was very family-friendly with lots of baby and maternity stores. We walked into a cute kids clothing store - when we got back to Stephanie's house, we realized that you shoplifted a pink stuffed pig! Luckily Stephanie was going back to the store and decided to buy it for you. How sweet!

Here's a better picture. He looks like he's my son doesn't he?

You were excited because he had so many toys you'd never seen before.

You had a lot of fun with this toy that made little pieces go whirring around.

He even had his own baby-sized chair that he let you sit in.

And you just loved this toy that blew balls out of it. Look at your hair!

And of course you had to try out his little scooter as well.

Here's a nice picture of everyone.

After that daddy had to go to his friends' wedding. You and mommy hung out with mommy's friend Peter.

And then you and mommy headed over to see her friend - Jamie, Marcus, and Abby. She has a stroller just like you.

You two had a staredown contest. You sometime do that with other kids.

And here's Jamie.

Unfortunately we didn't have two cameras so there are no pictures of me at the wedding. If you click here you can see some pictures that were taken at the wedding.
