Bubbles

Today we had a very busy Sunday - we left the house at 8:30AM to walk to the Park Slope YMCA for your swimming class. After swimming, we had a quick bite to eat at Perch - I ordered an egg sandwich and some grits to share with you. You were so hungry and exhausted after swimming. Right after we left the restaurant, you fell asleep in the stroller. On the way back home, we stopped by Target, Marshalls and Old Navy - you missed the entire shopping spree! What a long day, especially since I was supposed to be in Europe this week. (I cancelled my flight to London at the last minute - my meetings were postponed plus there was a flood in the basement of our apartment building so my suitcase was all wet. Daddy was so happy to hear that I was not going to travel because it's hard work to take care of you alone these days.)

Daddy also ran errands this morning - he bought some summer clothes since he lost weight and none of his shorts fit well. He also found some Bar Keeper's Friend to clean our pots/pans (now they look brand-new again) and a few plastic storage containers to prevent any future flood damage.

After a brief rest at home to change your diaper and clothes, we went down to the Dumbo Block Party. Our first stop was at the bubble blowing table - a nice woman was helping us blow bubbles.
Daddy took a funny shot of me as a big bubble popped in my face.
You started wandering around trying to get closer and closer to the band - I was worried it was too loud for your tender ears but you did not seem to mind at all. We bumped into a few of your friends in the neighborhood - Aurora (and her mom Bevin and dad Tony), Owen (Susan), Alex, and Kai (Lars). Daddy enjoyed relaxing and sitting down on the street with Aurora's daddy - you had fun walking in circles around them.
We also walked to the park but it was too busy with kids running around in the water. Now you are wailing in your crib fighting off naptime.
