On Our Own

Well Mommy is off again. She left this afternoon for San Diego for a conference. When I got home you greeted me at the door as usual. I put you up in your red chair and got out some Cheerios and water. I don't think you were too hungry. Here you are demonstrating your new unstoppable drinking technique.

We then played the "Naming Game". This is where I name things and you point to them. We went through the usual things - floor, nose, refrigerator, clock, books, light, ears, etc. Then I got to your favorite - Tummy. You thought about it for a minute and then got ready to show me.

There it is. Your belly!

We then went through the mail. I try to do this so you have something new to look at each day. Since you can say the word 'baby' you can imagine that you said it a lot going through Baby Magazine.

You love to go through my CDs and grab them but I don't let you. I am now finally indebted to AOL for sending those ubiquitous CDs of theirs. Now you can trash theirs instead of mine.

After that I let you play on your own. You are pretty good at keeping yourself entertained.

You made sure baby got some fresh air by taking her out for a spin in the stroller.

Here you are checking out the humidifier. You liked to stand in front of it inhaling the moisture. Then you'd stick your fingers in the hole and laugh when your hands got wet.

After that you dug duckie out of his storage area. His head was sticking out and you didn't want him trapped in there. Then we made your milk. You were so tired after drinking it that you wanted to go straight to bed. I didn't hear a peep out of you after that.
