Snow Day

Last night it started snowing. A lot! When we woke up today there were quite a few inches of snow on the ground. Someone said Central Park had over 25 inches of snow. Not sure if that is true. I'm looking out my window this morning at work which overlooks Central Park and it just doesn't look like 25 inches. Anyway, I'm not sure if you really remember snow. You spent a while looking out the window at it this morning. It was cold out so we had to get you bundled up. We wanted to grab some brunch. Mommy put you in your 'ski' outfit. Some ski pants, sweater, and ski hat.

Here's a good shot outside our window. It's still snowing so you can barely see off into the distance to the Manhattan Bridge.

You can see how much snow fell by the car in this photo. Most cars outside were buried under a ton of snow. Mommy's car is outside too but luckily we won't need to use it for quite a while. Hopefully the snow will have melted off by then.

Here we are making our way to the restaurant. We're about half way there. It was hard to take pictures because there was so much snow and wind you could barely keep your eyes open. There were big snow drifts along the way so it was hard to walk. Luckily nobody fell. And another thing happened right around here. Unbeknownst to us, you lost your shoe right around here. You had some socks on but your feet must have been cold.

We didn't want to go too far so we had brunch a couple of blocks away at Five Front. Mommy fed you eggs. We noticed when we got to the restaurant that you had lost a shoe. Mommy went outside to see if she could see it but she didn't see it anywhere. She made it all the way back home and so stopped in to grab you another jacket because it was so cold outside.

And here you are trying to get the camera. Almost. On our way back home some nice person found your shoe and put it up on a ledge. You didn't care though since you had fallen asleep on the way back.
