Dumbo Playdate

Today we hosted a playdate at our apartment so that I could meet the nannies of your playmates. You used to play with Lola (and another boy named Henry) everyday with your other nanny Allison. I wonder if you recognize and remember Lola? Lola also has a new nanny named Claire who seemed very responsible and considerate. We invited a boy named Kai who also has a Filipina nanny named MariJo. Girlie was so happy to meet another Filipina nanny at a playdate in the neighborhood last week. We know Kai's parents, Randy and Lars, who own a children's store in Dumbo called HalfPint; Randy is Korean like Mommy and Lars is German.

At first, Lola and Kai were shy with so many new faces, but after a few snacks of goldfish and veggies booty, they opened up and played with all of your toys.

At this age (13 months), you don't really play with the other kids - you play side by side. You also shared your toys by bringing a toy to Lola, but sometimes you took it back after a minute or two. Lola brought her favorite stuffed animal/security toy which is a bear named Dee, but no one else is allowed to play with Dee.
Kai is 8 months older so he is better at playing with other kids - here Kai is showing you how to play the piano.
The nannies also had fun meeting each other and snacking on Almondine cookies too. I have a feeling MariJo and Girlie will plan another playdate soon so Kai and you will become best buddies.
