Today is Monday and it is Presidents' Day so Daddy had the day off. Since it was not a holiday for me, Girlie was here to watch you while we went out. Daddy left the house early so that he could have a day to himself to walk around the city and check out some new stores like Bergdorf Goodman and some other high-end men's stores in midtown. I worked at home until 11:30am when Girlie arrived.
At noon, I met your Daddy for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants called Bouley in Tribeca. We missed celebrating Valentine's Day since I was in Seattle so we planned a nice decadent lunch instead. Bouley is a high-end French restaurant that recently earned two Michelin stars. The lunch tasting menu is a bargain for less than $50 per person. Bouley is also famous for its breads so we tried several kinds - sourdough roll, apple with raisin roll, garlic bread, fig bread and black olive bread. For appetizers, we both had the tuna sashimi followed by grilled halibut. For the third course, your Daddy had the pork tenderloin and I had the duck with bok choy. Then they served us a tangerine sorbet in a blood orange soup to cleanse our palates before desserst - that was your Daddy's favorite part of the meal. The desserts were excellent! I had the chocolate souffle with small scoops of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Your Daddy had some pear/apple wet pancake with pear sorbet and spice ice cream. It was delicious. Then they brought a plate of petit fours (basically small cookies) that were all so yummy.
We both could have used a nap after lunch but I had to go to the office and your Daddy continued his shopping spree. Hopefully he did not spend too much :)

You mom forgot to write about the most interesting part. After our meal ended they brought one more thing - another dessert. It had a pineapple compote on the bottom, some soft merangue in the middle, and a dollop of curry ice cream on top. Curry ice cream sounds strange but it was excellent.
