Mommy Gone For a Few Days

Well mommy ran off again today. She left for San Francisco for a few days. When I got home today you did your usual running up to the door to greet me. We spent some time watching some videos that we've put up on your site. You loved watching them. I'm pretty sure you knew what you were watching. After that you tried to get your favorite toy, the duckie, out from your crib.


Success!


Then we hit the bed. You love standing up on things now. You can climb up on lots of things - the sofa, the coffee table, and the day bed. After climbing up, you love to stand up. And every now and again you jump off into my arms. Mommy's not too happy about that last one.


You've definitely learned to avoid the camera. You just hate looking at me because the flash bugs you. I have to pin you down like this.


You still love playing with my keys. You can also see one of your birthday toys here. You can write on it with a magnetic pen. You've finally learned how to write on it after a lot of trial and error.

Your other favorite play toy is my belt. I let you play with it while I change out of my suit when I get home. But you were still avoiding the camera so I opened a ... DRAWER! That always gets your attention.


"Hmmm.... what's mommy got in here.


The other game we play is hide something under my hand. It just drives you crazy. You just hate it when I don't let you have something. Here I have the camera lens cover under my hand.


"Oh I was hoping for some food."


You spent a good amount of time eating the lens cap even though it isn't food.


There was also a balloon here when I got home. I think mommy got it for you at music class. That was the word we learned today. "Balloon"


Ironically the last shot I took was the best. Go figure. That's it from New York. I hope mommy's flight was good and she made it in okay.
