When I got home we played on our play mat for a while. I've been teaching you the word 'clock' the last few days. I say clock and point to the clock on the wall. Then I pull it down and let you play with it and say clock a lot more. Then later I say clock and you look up at the clock. I think this is one of the first words you've learned to associate with an object. Most of the words you've learned like 'dori dori' represent actions.

I blew the highlights out on this one. I can't shoot in TTL mode with the flash on the camera. It sends out a little 'feeler' flash to gauge the exposure. This unfortunately makes you blink. So I have to set it to a mode that doesn't do this. But then it has to guess what the exposure is like and sometimes you get overexposed shots like this. But they usually look good in B&W.

This is what happens when daddy completely screws up the shot. My daughter turns into a monster from the 8th dimension.

Here you look like an angel. This is one of my favorite shots ever of you. I had to crop it a bit and it's a tad out of focus as well but nothing too noticeable. Mommy is glad you have longer eyelashes that her (hers are very short) but yours are not quite as long as mine. Maybe they'll grow out longer when you get older.

More of daddy screwing around with the photo editing software. This is called sepia-toned. It's supposed to make photos look very old. They looked this way a long time ago.

My best shot of you trying to get the camera. Yes I took that. You can see my arms above my head.

Here I am distracting you with a stapler so you'll look in my direction. We've been playing music every night too. Tonight you seemed to be rocking out to Elvis and some jazz. You either bounce up and down slightly while you are standing or you rock side to side when you are sitting. I mimic you and that makes you laugh.

Daddy took a lot of cute shots tonight. We also did some reading. You like to sit in my crossed legs while I read and turn the pages. And then every other page or so you look up at me. I guess to make sure I'm still there.

This is one of mommy's favorite type of shots. You always have pursed lips in these kinds of shots and she loves that.

I've been teaching you the word 'scream' too. Probably not the smartest thing on my part but I figure it's all learning. I scream and then you scream. And then we both scream for ice cream. It's unfortunate for us that we're a non-sugar household. So basically we kept screaming all night.

And finally here you are doing your favorite thing. Pushing something around the house. You do it with the stroller, boxes, stools, pillows. Pretty much anything you can get your hands on. You went down well tonight. I give you a foot and leg massage to calm you down and you fall asleep right away. Hopefully you'll remember that when I'm old and grey.
