Month 10 Stats

Here are some things that you've been doing this month that are new:
  1. You can understand some of the words we say:
    • "Kiss kiss" - you make a smacking sound with your lips
    • "Dori Dori" - (Korean) You shake your head like you are saying 'no'
    • "Jam Jam" - (Korean) You clench your hands, opening and closing a fist
    • "Konji Konji" - (Korean) You point to your palm with your other hand
    • "Bye Bye" - You wave your hands
    • "Milk" - You seem to understand that if we say milk, there's some milk coming
    • "Ball" - I think you understand ball but I'm not sure
    • "Elephant" - Girlie taught you to raise your hand up and make an elephant sound but you don't raise the hand up much anymore
    • "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands..." - You clap your hands when we sing that song
    • "Bouncy Bouncy Baby" - We say that and if you are standing up, you bounce up and down like you are dancing
    • Our names and your name
  2. You can stand. For quite a long time and without concentrating on standing. Sometimes I don't even think you know you are standing.
  3. You can kind of dance. You bob up and down and side to side when we play music or sing to you. Lately we've been playing a lot of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley (the old 50s stuff before he got bad) so if you wonder why you like those two when you get older, you'll know.
  4. You can walk. About 5-8 steps before falling over. You really like walking. It's like getting the keys to the car.
  5. You can share. I feed you Cheerios sometimes and yesterday you hand one in your hand and I opened my mouth. You put the Cheerios in my mouth.
  6. You are more independent. You are okay now with crawling into another room. Before you liked to be close to us.
  7. You learned that pulling a string attached to something makes that thing come towards you. Seems simple enough but it's something you need to learn. You learned with your telephone that runs on wheels and has a red string coming out of the front of it.
  8. You tilt your head to the side. I'm not sure why but it's very cute.
  9. You can throw a ball. It's not that accurate but 10 months old is pretty young to be throwing a ball at all.
