You have been a little sick again lately. You were puking and had runny poohs all weekend and it has carried into Monday. As a result, you've been whimpering a lot lately. I think you are in a bit of pain now and again.
Tonight when I got home we relieved your new nanny, Girlie, who I think you like a lot. She was holding you when I got home and I could tell by your face that you are very comfortable around her. I put you on the bed while I changed out of my business suit. I gave you my belt since you seem to like playing with it.

Once I was done I took a few more shots on the bed. You've found my lens cap here. It says Nikon on the cover - the brand of the camera. You look as if you'd have preferred a Canon.

Here you are giving it back to me. You definitely didn't approve.

And now... a moment of Zen...

After your Buddhist meditation, you decided it best to find something to stick in your mouth. Tape was on the menu for today. We also had bananas (they are supposed to help with your pooh situation). You were quite hungry. I don't normally feed you food for supper but you were so hungry I mashed up a whole banana and you ate it all. Then we had 4 oz of milk to wash it down.

Then you started making your hiccup-burp-heaving sounds that you usually make before you are about to puke. Fortunately nothing came of it. So we played on the play mat for 20-30 minutes. I could tell you were tired because you'd crawl along and then you'd do a face plant into the floor and lay there for a bit before getting up. And then I heard some pooping sounds that sounded a little on the liquidy side. But when I changed your diaper you had much better poohs than before. Perhaps you are getting better. Your mom will be pleased.

Your daddy writes funny blogs - unfortunately I had no internet connection while in Paris so I am reading these posts at home. It was a very short trip to Paris - I spent <30 hours in France! After my meeting ended on Tuesday, I rushed to Galeries Lafayette so that I could buy a few things for you - I bought two cute winter outfits (one light blue pants/shirt/sweater set and another light pink jumper with 2 shirts). It is getting colder in NY so we need to dress you in warm clothes versus the one-sies that you always wear.
I called Daddy and Girlie from Paris to make sure you were feeling better and to see if we needed to take you to the doctor. Girlie said your tummy was feeling better so I was relieved -- I dislike business trips because I'd rather be home with Daddy and you, and it's even worse when you are feeling sick.
You have your 9-month check-up on Monday so Dr. Turner will check your tummy and also measure your height/weight.
