Teeth & Tricks

Finally after months of us thinking that your teeth were coming in we can just see a real tooth coming in. You've been faking us out. It's a little tiny tooth on the bottom front of your gums. And it's just poking through.

You've given up on toys. You just climb up things like above. Good job we have a colorful, soft mat to cushion the blows when you fall (well most of the falls, we're putting more down). Your new favorite toys when you do play with them are the colorful cups on the day bed. They make a lot of noise! I played a trick on mommy with those cups. You kept grabbing the purple one (it was close to you and you probably liked the color). So mommy came over and I said to you, "Grab the purple one." You climbed up the day bed and grabbed the purple one. Mommy was shocked! "How did you teach her that?", she said. Little did she know you just liked that cup.

Today we took it easy but we did stop by a block party in our neighborhood. It was for two things - a baby store opening and a pie contest. Soooo many babies everywhere. I didn't know any of them but mommy says you play with many of them when we are at work.

Speaking of eyes (a few posts back) you got a nasty black eye recently. We were at work but Allison said you fell onto a chair while you were trying to prop yourself up. Your mom was terribly upset. It was painful to look at and I'm sure you cried a lot. It's getting better though.
