Faceplant

Today in back-up daycare, you took another spill during playtime and hit your cheek on a shelf. Poor thing. It must have been very painful - this is your second injury in two weeks. Last Monday, you fell on a stool while playing with Henry upstairs and you ended up with black and blue left eye (top eyelid). Today you ended up with a small purplish bruise on your cheekbone (left side again).

After I picked you up from daycare, we went to the Durkins for a playdate with their daughter Madison - unfortunately Dennis had to work late so we just hung out with Madeleine and Madison for an hour. You met Madison when you were only 4 weeks old when we visited your grandparents in Arizona. Now the two of you are so big -- you were playing together with a big, blue ball and were standing up along the couches. You were a big show-off tonight - you did 'clap-clap' and 'bouncy, bouncy baby' for Madison who was quite impressed. I took a few photos but I don't know how to upload them to the site so we'll have to wait until we're home this weekend. Sorry, Daddy.

Speaking of Daddy. .. .your Daddy is quite ill at home all alone. It's too bad we are in Seattle and no one is there to help take care of him. We flew to Seattle last night - luckily you were an angel on the flight. You were quite hungry when we got onto the plane; I was trying to wait until take-off to feed you but you could not wait. You fell asleep after drinking your bottle; there was an extra seat so I brought your carseat onto the plane - your head kept bobbing forward while you were sleeping so I had to hold it up with my hands. After a 90 minute nap, we played for an hour or so - there was a nice lady sitting next to us so you just stared and smiled at her. You love to stare at new faces. I fed you another bottle and then put you in the baby bjorn -- after 20 minutes of fussing, you fell asleep on me for over 2 hours. You woke up while the plane was descending so your ears must have been popping.
