Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

Yesterday we took a trip to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately our camera memory cards were pretty full so we didn't take too many pictures. And getting out there was difficult because they are doing a lot of work on the subways right now and some of them aren't running or they have been rerouted. Overall it was an okay botanical garden. We've seen some better ones. You really liked the Japanese Koi fish though. Here's mommy buying tickets to get in. Only $5.

Here's a nice view from the top of the garden. Those are roses down below but it's hard to see any color there.
Here's the koi that were in the Japanese garden section. The water was muddy. The girl on the right was throwing bread into the water and the fish were gobbling it up. There were also some turtles in there as well. See how colorful some of those fish are?
Here's a photo of you and mommy as we walked into the garden.
Can you spot the butterfly?

And here's what's next door to the garden - The Brooklyn Museum of Art. The subway stop is right in front. We'll visit that someday.
