Today your nanny Allison called in sick - everyone in the household is still trying to recover from being sick last week (sore throats, stomach flu). I think you are feeling much better because your appetite is back. Today I am working from home since we have not yet used the new backup daycare in Manhattan.
It used to be easier to work from home because you were happy to sit on the floor and play with your toys, but now that you know how to crawl you don't want to stay in one place. You crawl from one side of the room to the other and try to pull yourself onto your feet using the daybed, the stool, the table, the sofabed or anything else you can put your hands on. It is both funny and scary to watch because you come very close to tumbling down onto your head. I had to move my laptop onto the floor so that I could watch you closely and catch you before you fell onto the hardwood floors. We need to buy more foam tiles so there is soft padding all around the living room while you learn to walk - I am sure you will have many bumps and bruises over the next few months.
