I forgot to mention a couple of things.
Your grandparents,
Gordon and June gave you a present, when you were born. $5000! You are rich. Unfortunately there's a stipulation associated with it. You won't get it until you are 18 years old. And, also, you can only use it for college. Which is good, because it's always better to spend money on something that will return more money in the future. And college is a good way to make more money when you are older.
You are starting to do a few new things now:
Today
you are 3 months old! That's a big milestone!
You are starting to use your vocal chords. You can't say anything obviously but before you would just scream. Now you make some 'goo goo' sounds. I try to repeat what you say after you say it but I don't think you know that I'm repeating your sounds. Usually you give me some kind of look on your face that let's me know you've understood something.
You have some kind of strange
fascination with my hair. When I look at you really close you just look at me. But when I bend my head down towards your face you start 'goo goo'-ing and touching my head. It's funny. I think we have it on video camera.
When you sleep at night
you make funny noises. You snore for one, just like me. And you make squeals and yelps every now and again. I'm not sure if you are having a dream or not.
You've been more cranky during the day than usual. We think
you are starting to teeth. This means your first baby teeth are coming out. And it hurts a little so you like the gnash down on things like your bottle nipple to ease the pain. I think we can see a white bud of one tooth coming in but we'll have to see.
You are sleeping a lot better. We are able to feed you around 6pm and then make a mad dash out to a restaurant on the weekend to have a nice dinner out. We put you in a kind of duffel bag and bundle you up inside and you are completely asleep for the entire dinner. Then we put a scarf around a little hole at the top where you can see out so it's nice and dark and cozy. Sometimes I get tired after dinner and I want to go inside and sleep.
You still need to be swaddled up to go to bed. You're okay having an arm out after you fall asleep but you can't quite get to sleep on your own without being swaddled. But the funny thing is you don't like it initially when you are swaddled. You scream and fight. Usually rocking and 'ssshhhh'-ing helps you go to sleep but lately we've been employing a hair dryer. When the hair dryer is on you stop crying right away. It's so funny.
That's about it. Next I'm going to put up a chart that shows your height and weight since you've been born so you can see how much bigger you've gotten.
